A significant milestone has been achieved in the international research project CAB-Coatings. From February 18 to 20, 2025, all project partners convened at GFE’s facilities in Schmalkalden for a joint meeting. 

Representatives from Schnyder SA, Urma AG, Müller Präzisionswerkzeuge GmbH, and Pannon PLATIT Kft. came together to review the project's current progress and define the next steps in its development. 

Alongside planning the project's further course and assigning specific tasks, the meeting primarily focused on conducting coating trials. Various tool types from the project partners' portfolios were coated with reference layers as well as an initial version of the newly developed AlCrBN coating.
