URMA as an exhibitor and OST as a partner of preXon

URMA, one of our network companies in Switzerland, is participating in preXon for the first time, an event in which OST is involved as one of the key research partners. The company specializes in 3D printing, with expertise ranging from initial consultation to quality control. At the AM Hub, it will showcase Formlabs’ SLA and SLS technologies.

The new platform for innovation and technology transfer in precision engineering is being implemented through collaboration between partners from industry and research. Foremost among these is our Swiss network management organization, OST—the University of Applied Sciences of Eastern Switzerland. The event combines a trade show with a technical conference and ensures that research can engage directly with industrial practice.

At the AM Hub, URMA will demonstrate how additive manufacturing can be specifically applied to a variety of applications. These range from prototypes to functional components and fixtures, all the way to flexibly manufactured small production runs. The Formlabs solution offers precise SLA 3D printing for applications where fit accuracy, detail, and high repeatability are critical.
