GFE and Satbayev University Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement

The GFE – Society for Production Engineering and Development Schmalkalden and the Satbayev University, Kazakhstan’s leading technical university, have formalized their collaboration with the official signing of a cooperation agreement. The partnership builds on a high-level visit of the Satbayev University delegation earlier this year, organized in close cooperation with LEG Thüringen International.

During the initial discussions, a shared vision emerged that is now taking concrete shape: combining German precision engineering with the innovative capacity of Central Asia. The cooperation focuses on key areas such as advanced manufacturing technologies, additive and hybrid processes, tool and coating systems, and sustainable industrial solutions.

For GFE, the partnership opens new opportunities for application-oriented research, joint development projects, and scientific exchange. It also supports the long-term goal of creating an internationally connected innovation environment that links research, industrial development, and technology-driven start-ups in a structured and efficient way.
